Final races of the season

YOLO Board is preparing for the grand finales of both the YOLO Board Stand Up Paddle Series and the YOLO Board Mileage Builder series on Aug. 9, and Aug. 11, respectively. Both standup paddleboard race series have provided local SUP enthusiasts the opportunity to showcase their skills in lighthearted, fun filled races.

The 5th Annual YOLO Board Race Series sponsored by Destin Real Estate Company included relay-style competition between male and female teams of four in the Recreational division and teams of three in the Next Level division. The energy-packed series includes participants of all skill levels and ages from junior to seniors vying for the coveted “2012 YOLO Board Cup Series” champion title to be awarded at the August 9th at the last event. Races begin at 5:30 p.m. at the WaterColor BoatHouse on Western Lake.

Presented by Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort and Sandestin Real Estate, the 2nd Annual YOLO Board Mileage Builder Series at Baytowne Marina in Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort featured a series of four endurance-building races from May to the final August 11th race. Each race increased by one mile increments with the last competition a tough four mile challenge. Overall series winners in each division will be crowned at the event which beings at 8:30 a.m.
