YOLO Board LLC announces the kick off of the 2009 YOLO Board Stand-Up Paddle Series race event on Thursday, April 30th at 5:30 p.m. on beautiful Oyster Lake in Santa Rosa Beach.  Male and female division four-member teams will compete in a series of five races that will take place monthly at various locations throughout Walton County as race paddlers vie for the champion title “2009 YOLO Board Cup Series” to be awarded after the final race in August.

“After the huge success with last year’s race series, we are looking forward to building an even bigger event this year,” said Jeff Archer, co-founder of YOLO Board.  “The YOLO race series is intended to be a fun, light-hearted community event that introduces people to the world of stand-up paddling and the positive response we’ve received since last year’s series has been incredible.”

Tentative race dates (weather permitting) are: April 30, May 21, June 19, July 23 and August 13; additional race locations to be announced soon.  A one time race entry fee is $140 per team.  Complimentary 2009 signature race series t-shirts will be provided for each participating team member and YOLO boards will be available for use at each race event.

YOLO Board is currently seeking race teams and sponsors for this year’s event.  For more information, contact 850.622.5760 or visit www.YOLOBoard.com.  All events are free and open to the public.
