The Walton County Master Gardeners will be hosting a lecture on butterflies on Feb. 5 as one of their ongoing Lecture Series: How Does Your Garden Grow?
The lecture, “Save A Place for Butterflies” will be presented by MaryAnn Friedman, a butterfly expert and Western Panhandle Regional Coordinator for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Grant.
The Florida Panhandle is home to some of Florida’s rarest species of butterflies. Mrs. Friedman will present a photographic argument for the need to “save a place” for butterflies and other native pollinators along with suggestions on how to promote butterfly conservation.
The lecture will be held from 10 – 11:30 a.m., Padgett Park, 810 JD Miller Rd, Santa Rosa Beach, FL 32459
