Walton County Master Gardener tree sale Jan. 16

The Walton County Master Gardeners will be hosting a tree sale at the Walton County Fairgrounds on Jan. 16 from 9 a.m. – 12 noon.

Flowering, shade, citrus and fruit trees, suitable for planting now in our area, will be available at bargain prices.  Azaleas, camellias, blueberries, ornamental grasses and vines can be found as well.  Master Gardeners will be on hand to help with gardening questions and provide information on the plants.

The 4-H Youth will host a pancake breakfast from 7:30 – 10:00  a.m. the same morning at the Extension Office next door.  The public will be able to enjoy breakfast before choosing their trees and other landscape plants.

The 4-H Club will have organic and heirloom vegetable and herb seeds, suited for our climate, for sale.  The pancake breakfast will be $6 for adults and $3 for children, ages 6 to 12, 5 and under – free.  The proceeds will provide scholarship funds for youth education.
