Walton County fishing report for May 5

May 5, 2010

Fishing good in the Gulf, come on down !

Fresh: Rivers still pretty high right now shut down from the rains. However there is catfish being caught.

Bay: The rain has not slowed down the speckled trout! It’s great and folks are catching their limits. A few redfish but not shrimp.

Saltwater: Pompano are still being caught.  Large king mackerel are everywhere.

Note: Currently Walton County off shore waters are offering great fishing opportunities with no effects from the oil spill.

“Keep a positive outlook, one way or another we will be alright” – Danny Copeland.
