Walton County fishing report for June 8

June 8, 2011

Fishing is great, river is very low!

Salt: Short season for red snapper is open and folks are catching their limits in no time! Big ones!

Bay: Redfish has been through the roof! Lots of bait fish out there too – mullet and menhaden. Trout has backed down a bit.

River:  Be careful out there, the river is very low. Folks are catching shellcracker and catfish in the deep holes. We need some rain!

Danny Copeland wants to remind folks that the resident shoreline license is free. Come on by!
