Walton County fishing report for June 29

June 29, 2011

Black drum, redfish and flounder in the bay!

Salt: The bite is still on for red snapper and fishing is great! Also reeling in some king mackerel a few triggerfish, vermillion and white snappers.

Inshore Gulf report brought to you by Capt. Kerry Jones of Not A Dog Charters.

Bay: Lots of redfish being caught, not as many trout. Reeling them in with Berkley Gulp bait and shrimp. Large black drum being caught along the causeway and ship in the bay along with a good bit of flounder.

The temperatures are high so fish are only feed when it’s early and late.

River: Be careful out there, the river is still very low. Folks are catching some catfish and a good bit of frogging along the river.

Danny Copeland wants to remind folks that the resident shoreline license is free. Come on by!
