Fishing is great with a lot of king mackerel being caught in the Gulf – shellcracker, catfish in the river

You need to get out early

Fresh: River is good!  Shellcracker, bluegill, bass and lots of catfish

Bay: Speckled trout are being caught along with redfish, black snapper and a few small sheepshead.

Saltwater: King mackerel is great, grouper and lots of snapper just about any time of day!

Note: Currently Walton County in shore waters are offering great fishing opportunities with no effects from the oil spill.

“If you think BP and the feds are going to completely take care of you, your nuts. You are the captain of your own ship,” Danny said.
