June 16, 2010

Fishing is great with snapper, grouper and king mackerel being caught in the Gulf – shellcracker, bream in the river

You need to get out early

Fresh: River is good!  Lots of shellcracker, bream and a few bass.

Bay: Lots of speckled trout are being caught along with redfish.

Saltwater: King mackerel, grouper and lots of snapper just about any time of day!

Danny Copeland said a local caught a nice 25 lb. red grouper!

Note: Currently Walton County in shore waters are offering great fishing opportunities with no effects from the oil spill.
