Walton County fishing report for Dec. 7

December 7, 2011

Fishing is good for those that are getting out there!

Choctawhatchee Bay: Tons of bait fish in the bay. Sheepshead are back and being caught with just the right size shrimp we have in the shop!  Stripers are chasing mullet up the creek and competing with the trout. Lots of small redfish being caught. Oysters are good, yes, even from the Choctawhatchee Bay.

Creeks/river: Crappie fishing has slowed a bit, and the river has come back down low again.

Danny Copeland wants to remind folks that the resident shoreline license is free. Come on by!
