Amberjack season open, kings in the Gulf and Bay

Salt: King mackerel still red hot right now, in the 12-15 lb. range. Lots of bait fish showing up again since the Gulf has calmed down. Catching vermillion snapper, triggerfish, white snapper and amberjack which puts on a good bite.

Bay: Speckle trout and redfish EARLY in the a.m. Catching on top suspending baits and shrimp. Some Spanish mackerel, bluefish and a few sheepshead.

River: Folks headed out to the river are catching catfish and bass. Some bluegill on popping bugs.

Surf: A few whiting and pompano being caught.
