Amberjack in the Gulf, speckled trout in the Bay

Salt: King mackerel bait has moved off a bit, but a lot of amberjack biting along with vermillion snapper, triggerfish, black snapper. and a few red grouper. Looking forward to gag grouper season September 16 through November 15, 2011

Bay: LOTS of speckled trout EARLY in the a.m. Catching on Mirrodine and Zara Puppy lures. Folks also catching black drum throughout the day. Some redfish at the mouth of the river.

River: Folks headed out to the river are catching catfish.
