Walton County fishing report for Apr. 6

Spanish mackerel, king mackerel and cobia!

Surf/Gulf: Scattered reports of pompano being caught with shrimp. A few Spanish mackerel along with some king mackerel along with a good bit of cobia. One report of a 5 lb. Spanish mackerel being caught.

Bay: Quite a few speckled trout with over legal size redfish catches. A few sheepshead and Spanish mackerel.

River:  Some bluegill, shellcracker and lots of catfish. Good number of bass being caught and the crappie fishing still good.

Danny Copeland wants to remind folks that the resident shoreline license is free. Come on by!

Hunting: A few turkey being killed, but with this nice weather, most folks are fishing.
