Walton County fishing and hunting report for Oct. 13

Lots of redfish being caught in the bay!

Bay: Lots and lots of redfish being caught on live shrimp, menhaden and Berkley Gulp shrimp.  Still flounder are being caught with a hook and line. Scattered speckled trout, some in concentration.

Fresh:  Lots of crappie being caught, even with the river so low it’s still good and mostly in the deep holes.

Gulf: Mostly weekend trips folks going out and catching red snapper.

Hunting: Hunters getting ready for bow season that opens up this weekend on Wildlife Management areas and on Eglin Reservation.
