Get your garden going with disease resistant tomatoes!

The Walton County Master Gardeners will be selling tomato plants on Friday, April 3 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Walton County Extension Office. Available plants include the disease resistant varieties Crista, Roma, Red Defender, Fletcher, and Sugar Plum Grape. The plants are 50 cents each, or five for $2. The office will be continuing to sell the plants during office hours until they are all sold.

Mike Goodchild, UF Extension agent said the plants available are more resistant to the blights, wilts, and nematodes that are common problems that plague other varieties grown in the area.
