Numbers serve as important reminder for Florida residents and visitors to take proactive measures against mosquitoes WALTON COUNTY — This is to advise that there has been increased mosquito-borne disease activity in areas of Walton County. Fishing is good! Choctawhatchee Bay: WOW… a 26″ 6 3/4 lb. flounder gigged in the Bay. Also big trout over in Hogtown along with huge catches of redfish and trout in the Bay. Fishing is great! Choctawhatchee Bay: Trout and redfish being caught. Trout fishing has been through the roof and being caught with smaller bait. Small shrimp and Canaday tiny flutes and Zoom tiny flutes. River: Redfish still following the bait all the way up to the Sisters. Crappie fishing has tapered off and some shellcracker being caught.
