Waterman Gulf Coast hosted paddle
for American Cancer Society

Calm winds proved to be the perfect conditions for paddle boarders and kayaks on the Choctawhatchee Bay May 31.

Hosted by Waterman Gulf Coast, experienced and novice paddlers had a fun time at Senor Mojito’s on 331 in Santa Rosa Beach in support of the American Cancer Society. In addition to the race pledges, items such as paintings, dinners, water-proof MP3 players and even a hand-made blue bird box were raffled off to benefit the Society. Several heart-felt monetary donations were made as well for the good cause.

Jeff Archer from YOLO Board supplied boards and instruction for newcomers looking to try out the sport and participate in the afternoon’s events.

Other sponsors included Senor Mojito’s, Walton Outdoors, Fluid Surf Shop, Brah Ha Surf Shop, Meyer Skimboards, Planet Secure, 102.1 Wave Radio, H2O Audio, M Public Relations, Ride On Surf School and Modus Photography.
