The Walton County Sheriff’s Office hosted the annual Summit for Heroes ceremony at Lakewood Park June 30, 2012.
Summit for Heroes honors law enforcement officers who have been killed in the line of duty. Teams across the country climb the highest point in each state in memory of these heroes. Lakewood Park just east of Paxton is Florida’s highest point.
