Lifeguards run, swim, paddle and perform rescues for captive audience

South Walton Fire District lifeguards gave a demonstration of what they do to local Santa Rosa Beach Cub Scout Pack #562 on May 18. Beach Safety Director, Gary Wise explained to the pack the beach flag system and what the different colors stand for, explaining in detail the double red flag, and how dangerous the water is when those flags are flown.

The lifeguards ran, swam, paddled and performed water rescues for the captive Scout Pack and their parents.
