South Walton Fire District will once again host their 3rd Annual SWFD Polar Bear Plunge into the Gulf on New Year’s Day Jan. 1 at 1 p.m. The event will be held at the south end of CR393 at Ed Walline Park beach access.
Registration starts at 11 a.m. and is a $20 donation. Registration forms can be found at http://www.swfd.org/polarbearplunge.php. There will be a costume contest with $50 prize, campfire, good food, and music on hand.
“This charity fund raiser benefits the SWFD Department Relations Committee and their efforts to support fire prevention educational programs and activities throughout the year and it’s a great way to welcome in the New Year”, said Sammy Sanchez, Fire Marshal.
