Creek clean up, fishing tournament, free kayak/canoe rentals, food, and family fun
Snaggy Bend Outfitters is proud to announce their official grand opening on Saturday, May 31, 2014. It will be a day of fun-filled activities, including free canoe and kayak rentals while they last. Call early for your reservation because they won’t last long. You will launch at Cotton Landing for an 8 ½ mile trip down Holmes Creek. The adventure will end at Hightower Springs.
Trash round-up contest. The winner will receive a 4-day, 3-night vacation in a gulf-front condo in Panama City Beach.
• All contestants must register at Snaggy Bend Outfitters on opening day. Launch will be from 8 – 11 a.m. You may bring your own canoe or kayak. There will be free shuttles for the contest.

A catfish rodeo for the kids starting at 3 p.m. on the premises. Have the kids bring their poles and favorite bait to compete for the grand prizes. The largest and smallest catfish will each receive a brand new youth kayak. Judging will end at 5 p.m. All children must be accompanied by and adult, but no adults may fish. The kids have to do the fishing.
Other activities for the day include chainsaw carving demonstrations by Chad Gainey from Emerald Coast Carving. Free hot dogs and hamburgers while they last.
