Upgrades and improvements by Northwest Florida Water Management have been completed at Seven Runs recreation area. Restoration and stabilization of the shoreline, two ladders/steps to the water, and an ADA ramp to the porta-toilet have been added. The park also has a small pavilion, and picnic tables. The park is a popular location to launch a kayak/canoe. The short paddle opens to a cypress swamp, Dead River Landing, then on to the Choctawhatchee River.
The Seven Runs recreation area is on SR 81 just north of Bruce near the Florida Trail at Nokuse.
