Something for everyone with movie under the stars, Mardi Gras celebration, concert and more

Fun activities are in store with something for everyone as Seaside hosts a variety of events the weekend of Feb. 12-13, with a movie, Krewe of Wee-De-Leis Mardi Gras Celebration, and Valentine’s Day concert.

Friday, Feb. 12
President’s Weekend Movie Night Under the Stars – National Treasure: Book of Secrets
7 p.m. – Lawn of Holl Building
Join Seaside as they celebrate President’s Day Weekend with an outdoor movie under the stars! Seaside will be screening the sequel to the Nicholas Cage treasure series, National Treasure: Book of Secrets. Screened on the south wall of the Holl Building.

Saturday, Feb. 13
Krewe of Wee-De-Leis Mardi Gras Celebration

Make your own mask and enjoy live music
10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Location: 4KIDS & Seaside
Join Seaside for the Fourth Annual 4KIDS Mardi Gras Parade. The parade starts at 2 p.m. in front of 4KIDS on the south side of 30A and all kids are welcome (both the young and young at heart)! Visit the store between 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. to make your own mask and other creative crafts with Abrakadoodle. Then stick around for live music throughout Seaside with an authentic second line band straight from New Orleans featuring The Michael Foster Project.

Sunday, Feb. 14
Valentine’s Day Concert featuring Roman Street
5:30 p.m. – Meeting Hall Theatre
Join The Merchants of Seaside as we host a concert aimed at giving everyone a chance to spend time with the ones you love. Don’’t miss this special performance by Mobile natives, Roman Street, as they perform their unique style of “new”” flamenco, smooth and not-so-smooth Jazz. Enjoy this free performance in the intimate setting of the Meeting Hall Theatre, but …arrive early as space is limited!
