Play Golf and help fight child hunger in Santa Rosa Beach April 17

March 24, 2014

foodforthoughtgolfFood For Thought, a local children-based non-profit servicing Okaloosa and Walton Counties, is set to tee off for its 3rd Annual Charity Outreach Golf Tournament April 17th at the Santa Rosa Golf & Beach Club.  All proceeds directly benefit Food For Thought.

“This year we are mixing golf with one-of-a-kind Gulf views for an afternoon of friendly competition and fundraising,” says Food For Thought Founder, Tiffanie M. Shelton.  “The proceeds from this event will help fill our pantry in preparation for our summer 2014 program and new school year which will feed an estimated 400 children.”

The scramble begins with a 12:45 p.m. shotgun start where players can challenge their teams with a number of games and extras including mulligans for purchase, “tee busters,” and a putting contest.  Food on the course will be available for purchase by CUP. The afternoon of golf along The Gulf will conclude with Happy Hour and hors d’oeuvres at Vue on 30A where team awards, prizes and a raffle will take place.

Players and teams can register at www.foodforthoughtgolf.com through Monday, April 7th.  Golfers will play in four-person teams and fees range from $75 per player to $250 per team.
