Master Gardeners hosting potted plant show at the Walton County Fair Oct. 11-16

Enter your potted plant to win a prize

The Walton Master Gardeners will be sponsoring the popular Potted Plant Show again this year at the Walton County Fair Oct. 11 – 16.  The following classes of plants will be featured: African violets, flowering, foliage, hanging containers, cactus & succulents, ferns and a mixture of plants in the same pot will fall into the miscellaneous class.

Two plants in each class will be accepted per person.  Exhibitors must be in possession of the plant for a minimum of three months. All citizens of Walton County are invited to enter their plants in the show.  Plants will be judged on their merit with prizes awarded in each class.

Plants may be brought to the Fairgrounds located at 790 N 9th Street (SR 83) in DeFuniak Springs.  Plants will be received on Saturday, October 9th from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. and on Sunday, Oct. 10th from 1 – 4 p.m.  Exhibitors should bring their plants through the arena door located by the white trailer fair office.
