The 7th annual Marvel of Flight at the DeFuniak Springs Airport to be held March 31 & April 1, 2017, will be the largest fly-in and aviation expo in Northwest Florida, and the City of DeFuniak Springs is promising to deliver the best line up of special guest speakers, exhibits, and aircraft static displays to-date.
The event is open to the public and en lieu of admission fees, the City of DeFuniak Springs is requesting everyone bring a food pantry donation to benefit the Matrix Community Outreach Center local food bank program.
Headlining the event as honorary guest and hosting a series of advanced flight training forums is three-time National Aerobatic Champion and National Aviation Hall of Fame member Patty Wagstaff. Other special guests include the Tiger Flight Foundation formation flight demonstration team, Army Aviation Heritage Foundation Wiregrass Chapter, and Hixson Flight Museum.
The fun filled day of activities will include a “Rescue at Dawn” historical re-enactment presented by the Army Aviation Heritage Foundation Wiregrass Chapter involving three Vietnam War Era historical aircraft.
