Ribbon cutting ceremony to include public tours and refreshments

Live Oak Landing, located along the Choctawhatchee Bay, will be having its Grand Opening ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, June 9 in celebration of the property being the only overnight lodging facility in the city of Freeport.

The event is open to the public and light finger foods and refreshments will be served. Guests can receive golf cart tours of the property and its features, including the customized resort cottages.

“We’re extremely proud to be the only accommodation option in the entire city,” said Neil Sorrell, General Manager of Live Oak Landing. “This is a great way to symbolize our open doors to the community… and I think people will fall in love with the area and see that Live Oak is a perfect mix of relaxation and fun for a vacation getaway,” he added.

Live Oak Landing is an RV and cottage resort property that began operations in November 2010, but they’ve recently completed additional renovations. The property has excellent facilities for events, such as reunions or private parties. It’s also an ideal vacation spot for fishing and outdoors enthusiasts due to its location on an abundance of water frontage on the outskirts of the Choctawhatchee Bay.
