February 22, 2016

masterlogoThe key to better blooming flowers, more vegetables and healthier shrubs is pollinators!  Walton County Master Gardeners present Jim Dietrich, a local bee keeper and master gardener, who will discuss how to attract pollinators to your landscape and keep them there.  Pollinators may include bees, birds, butterflies, bats, moths and more.  Learn how they improve the health of your garden and the environment.

This discussion will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 from 2 – 3:30 p.m. at the UF/IFAS Walton Extension Office at 732 N 9th Street in DeFuniak Springs next to the fairgrounds. The program is free and open to the public, however seating is limited and reservations must be made by the Monday before by contacting Cheryl at 850-892-8172 or haneyc@ufl.edu.  Light refreshments will be served.

Master Gardeners are available at this location Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. until noon to take your gardening questions.  Call 892-8172 or come by.
