Growing flowers in Northwest Florida lecture in DeFuniak Springs March 4

Serena Robison and Jonathon Douglas, owners and growers at Peach Creek Blooms will share their expertise on growing flowers for fun and profit.  They operate a one-acre flower farm located in the Point Washington community of Walton County, Florida that produces fresh cut blooms to sell at the Seaside Farmers Market and to supply local florists.  You can learn how they choose which plants to cultivate for vase life and how they keep a constant flow of posies for cutting and fragrance.

The program will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at 10:00 am at the UF/IFAS Walton County Extension Office located at 732 N 9th Street, in DeFuniak Springs.  This event is free and open to the public.  Seating is limited and reservations are required – call 850-892-8172 or email by the Monday before, 3/2 to save your place.

Light refreshments will be served, and Master Gardeners will be on hand to take gardening questions and to help with soil samples.
