Gospel music, street sale, and historic tours in DeFuniak Springs May 3

defuniakspringsGospel Music in the Lakeyard will take place downtown at the amphitheater in the Lakeyard in DeFuniak Springs on Saturday, May 3, 2014. The event will be held from 2 – 6 p.m. Admission is free.

Several groups and individuals will be providing inspirational music throughout the four hour event. Groups include Holy Commotion – the First United Methodist Praise Band, Mike Scharver, the Cornerstone Praise Band, One Heart, Ed Tanza, and the First Baptist Praise Band as well as others.

There will be food vendors available for your convenience. Sponsored by the DeFuniak Springs Special Events Committee, this family-friendly event is free and the community is encouraged to attend.

Also taking place on that day is Peddlers Alley beginning at 8 a.m. – Noon in the alleyways between Baldwin and Nelson Avenues. Sponsored by the DeFuniak Springs Visitors Bureau, Peddlers Alley includes a wide variety of crafts, custom items, hard-to-find specialties, homemade products, live plants, gently used items, musical instruments and much more.
