FWC offers hunter safety course in Walton County Dec. 1-5

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is offering a free hunter safety course in Walton County.

The course will be at Friendship Baptist Church, 2415 County Highway 1883 in DeFuniak Springs.  Instruction will be from 5:30 to 10 p.m. Dec. 1, 3 and 4.  The range portion of the class will be Dec. 5.
An adult must accompany children under 16 at all times.  Students should bring a pencil and paper with them to take notes.

The hunter safety course is required before anyone born on or after June 1, 1975, can purchase a Florida hunting license.  The FWC course satisfies hunter safety training requirements for all other states and Canadian provinces.
