Get into the spirit of Christmas by attending the Freeport Town Planters Festival of Trees. The event will be at the Freeport Community Center on Fri., Dec. 13, from 3 – 7 p.m., Sat., Dec. 14, from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.; and on Sun., Dec. 15, from 1 – 5 p.m. The trees have been decorated by individuals, organizations, and business and are competing for the People’s Choice award, to be presented at the end of the show on Sunday. Admission is $5 and refreshment will be served.

This event is a project of the Freeport Town Planters Society, a non-profit organization which uses its funds and efforts to beautify and enrich the city of Freeport, and support other charitable organizations like Relay for Life and the Empty Stocking Fund.
