The City of Freeport and Freeport Town Planters Society will be hosting their annual Christmas parade on Dec. 2. The parade starts at Freeport Elementary School at 4:45 p.m. and ends at City Hall.
A special holiday program and tree lighting followed by a visit from Santa is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. at City Hall. After the arrival of Santa, the kids will have an opportunity to visit with Santa and to make holiday crafts and enjoy a petting zoo.
The Festival of Trees will be open after the arrival of Santa in the Community Center as well as on December 3 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and December 4 from 1 – 5 p.m.
