The Freeport neighborhood of Fluffy Landing now has a community dock to enjoy fishing and views of the Choctawhatchee Bay.
The dock is intended to be a walk to park for the surrounding neighborhood, and does not provide parking for drive to services and does not have any available restroom facilities. The dock was installed by Walton County. The park provides an additional fishing opportunity to the neighborhood through the creation of a boardwalk that crosses a ditch. The dock extends approximately 85 ft. from the adjacent bank that is 5 ft. wide and leads to a 20×10 ft. landing area.
While there is no passenger vehicle parking provided for on the site, there is some space for golf cart parking.
The new dock is located at 40 Shady Lane in Freeport.
