Fall planting for spring flowers lecture in DeFuniak Springs Oct. 12

Do you want to know the ins and outs of the most versatile class of plants available to you?  If so, the Walton County Master Gardeners would like to invite the you to attend “Fall Planting for Spring Flowers,” the second installment of the “How Does Your Garden Grow” lecture series on Wednesday, October 12th from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the Walton County Extension Office, 732 N 9th St., DeFuniak Springs, FL 32433.

This workshop will feature Walton County Horticulture Agent Daniel Leonard and will demonstrate how bulbs planted in the fall can yield year-round color. Learn which bulbs flourish in Florida and why, which species to avoid, when and how to plant the various types of bulbs, and how to design a bulb garden for four-season interest. Seating is limited, so call (850)-892-8172 or email haneyc@ufl.edu to reserve your spot.
