Volunteers needed for long leaf pine restoration project at Deer Lake State Park April 22

April 17, 2021

Volunteers needed for long leaf pine restoration project at Deer Lake State Park April 22. Marquis Fine Cabinetry has partnered with Grayton Beach State Park for Earth Day 2021 to restore Deer Lake by pulling sand pines in efforts to keep the newly planted long-leafs thriving. Volunteers will meet at 8 a.m. at 6719 E County Road 30A Santa Rosa Beach, FL 32459.

The area that this volunteer event will be focusing on previously had North Florida slash paine and sand pines, which migrated into the space when the long leafs were removed timber.

Please join in to continue the efforts in improving our beautiful beaches, which we are lucky to call home. Come prepared with leather gardening gloves. Marquis will gladly provide water and snacks for all your hard work.
