Veterans Day ceremonies in DeFuniak Springs and Freeport Nov. 11

DEFUNIAK SPRINGS 11 a.m.– The 2012-2013 Veterans of Foreign Wars Commander-in-Chief John E. Hamilton will provide the keynote address at the City of DeFuniak Springs annual Veterans Day ceremony on Monday, November 11, 2019, at 11 a.m. The ceremony will take place at the DeFuniak Springs Amphitheater, 1183 Circle Drive, DeFuniak Springs, FL 32435.  The event is free and open to the public.

FREEPORT 2 p.m. – There will be a Veterans Day program at the Veteran’s Memorial Park in Freeport starting at 2 p.m. The public is invited to come witness the unveiling of new statues; The War Dog, Invisible Wounds, POW-MIA, and Homecoming. Air Force retired Colonel Edward Hubbard will be keynote speaker. The park is located next to City Hall, 112 Hwy. 20 W, Freeport.
