Master gardener lecture on chemicals in DeFuniak Springs

Before you grab that fungicide, insecticide or any pesticide, attend The Great American Garden lecture on signs and symptoms of plant problems in the landscape. Sheila Dunning, commercial horticulture agent from Okaloosa County will discuss the differences and show you what to look for to help you make right decision for your garden. Learn how to save time, money and our environment.

The Walton County Master Gardeners continue this popular lecture series created for the local homeowner. This program will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at the Walton County Extension Office located at 732 N 9th Street, next to the fairgrounds, in DeFuniak Springs.  It will be at 2 – 3:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served and Master Gardeners will be on hand to take gardening questions. This is free and open to the public, however seated is limited and reservations must be made by the Monday before the lecture by contacting Cheryl at 850-892-8172.

Soil testing supplies and instruction will be available.  This is a service of the University of Florida/ IFAS Extension and Walton County.
