Learn about pollinators in Grayton Beach

March 18, 2016

April 6, 2016 @ 10:00 am – 11:30 am

The key to better blooming flowers, more vegetables and healthier shrubs are pollinators! Walton County Master Gardeners present Jim Dietrich, a local bee keeper and master gardener, who will discuss how to attract pollinators to your landscape and keep them there. Pollinators may include bees, birds, butterflies, bats, moths and more. Learn how they improve the health of your garden and the environment. Meet the Extension horticulture agent, Daniel Leonard, who will be presenting as well.

This discussion will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 from 10 – 11:30 a.m. at the UF/IFAS Walton Extension Coastal Branch at 70 Logan Lane, which runs west off CR 283, just north of the 4-way stop in Grayton Beach.

The program is free and open to the public, however seating is limited and reservations must be made by the Monday before by contacting Cheryl at 850-892-8172 or haneyc@ufl.edu.  Light refreshments will be served.

Master Gardeners are available at this location every Wednesday 9 a.m. – Noon to take your gardening questions.  Call 892-8172 or come by.
