Camp Helen State Park with Lucky Mud and the Friends of Camp Helen State Park present the third concert featuring Lucky Mud. They have hosted the Americana Concerts at Camp Helen for the past four years. This duo is well known locally, nationally and internationally. Michael and Maggie McKinney pair their love of beautifully written lyrics with melodies that fit the words seamlessly, reaching and touching their audiences with a voice that both amuses and surprises. Calling their sound “Mud Music,” they have brought their sounds from Ireland and England, to Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, and finally to the U.S. Their music can involve yodeling, rhythmic drumbeats, soft and sweet harmonies and ” rootsy, wicked, belt-it-out swamp songs.”

The event is free. Donations will be accepted and go directly to the Friends of Camp Helen State Park to be used to benefit the parks resource management projects and interpretive programs.

Participant Requirements

All concerts are held in the Lodge at Camp Helen State Park. Seating inside the lodge is limited to 125 people.  Additional seating is available outside on the porch.
