Catching some waves at Blue Mountain Beach

Local surfers were out in force this weekend enjoying the waves. Pictured here is Dylan Sturdivant catching one in the Gulf of Mexico at Blue Mountain Beach access on June 5. Dylan is the son of Trish and Michael Sturdivant of Santa Rosa Beach.

Many locals are out enjoying quality time along the beaches in South Walton. With the future uncertain, everyone is getting out and enjoying our beautiful beaches.

    1. We own a Marriott Vacation Time Share and stayed in Panama City Beach several years ago.
We were told to venture out to the beaches of South Walton by the conceirge of the Marriott.
Wanted to drop a line here with all that is happening in the Gulf to say that your beaches there are absolutely gorgeous.

Just saw a segment on one of the Sunday news channels where the governor was in Santa Rosa. That and other beaches like Rosemary Beach and Seaside were extraordinary.

I am from New Jersey so we frequent the beaches here on the Jersey shore.
We have also been to beaches on Florida on the east Coast and on the west side of Florida’s Golf Coast.
We had never been in the Panhandle area.
So were were delighted when we saw your beaches.
They are just as beautiful or more beautiful than beaches that we have been to in Hawaii or any of the Caribbean Islands or Bermuda.

If there is anyone who has ever considered visiting this area, don’t hesitate.
You’re in for a real treat!!!
