If you maintain a garden or landscape beds, you probably know that soil health is an important part of keeping plants healthy, but you may not be aware of the amazing benefits composting can have on your soil’s health and how easy it is to do at home. With spring planting just around the corner, now is the perfect time to dive into the ins and outs of composting.
On Wednesday, February 6, 2019, the Master Gardener Lecture Series event “Ins and Outs of Composting” will be held at the Walton County Extension Office in DeFuniak Springs with Evan Anderson, the Walton County Agricultural Extension Agent, presenting the program on soil health and making your own compost. This lecture will be held from 10 – 11:30 a.m. CST, and there will be a $5 fee to attend, payable by cash or check.
