Community arts and music festival at South Walton High School May 18

communityartsandmusicTime: 2 – 5 p.m.

Celebrate arts in education. Rosemary Beach Foundation (in collaboration with Florida State University College of Music and Walton County School District) presents Music in Pictures community festival. The event is FREE and open to the public.

Event schedule:
2 – 3:45 p.m. Express yourself! at the painting area – Create artwork while listening to the same music that inspired the students’ works
Artwork screening – Enjoy a slide show of paintings inspired by classical compositions, created by 300 K-12 students from 17 Walton County schools.
Experience instruments! – Florida State University graduate students will showcase the different instruments of the orchestra by giving short performances
Musical petting zoo – You are invited to try out several instruments, and experience the vibration and sound firsthand!
4 – 5 p.m. Awards Ceremony and Chamber music concert “Americana” featuring
