The City of DeFuniak Springs announces their inaugural LakeFest on Saturday, June 21, 2014. It will be held at Lake DeFuniak along Circle Drive in DeFuniak Springs from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Lake DeFuniak, is surrounded by beautiful Chipley Park, then encircled by Circle Drive, and sits in the center of historic DeFuniak Springs, Florida. This location has been a popular gathering place since the late 1800s, beginning with the New York Chautauqua Assembly. With the growing popularity of paddle boarding, kayaking, canoeing, running and cycling, Lake DeFuniak and Chipley Park will be the perfect location for the LakeFest Festival.
The fun-filled day will kick off at 6 a.m. with LakeFest 5K and Dash N Splash. The main festival events will include water activities, food, historical tours, arts and crafts, entertainment, car shows, children’s activities, and family fun.
