Join the Choctawhatchee Audubon for a bird walk at the Shoal River Sanctuary hosted by Bob and Chris Larson. See upland species at this magnificent, privately owned parcel on the upper Shoal River in Northern Walton County.. Dress for a short hike to the river bluffs and steephead branch with good shoes, water, and insect repellent. Meet at the Niceville Food World at 7:30 a.m. to carpool. Join the Choctawhathcee Audubon for a bird walk at Ft. Pickens, Gulf Islands National Seashore on Sept. 28. The walk will be led by Alan Knothe, noted local birder and biologist.
