May 2: Monthy Meeting: A program on the biological diversity of the Blackwater River State Forest will be presented by Peggy Baker of the Frances M. Weston Audubon Society in Pensacola.  The meeting will be held in Rm 132 of the new Student Services Center at the Niceville Campus of Northwest Florida State College.  Socializing and refreshments begin at 6:30 p.m., with the program at 7 p.m. The meeting is free and open to the interested public. May 18: Field Trip to the Blackwater River State Forest led by Peggy Baker: Meet at the Niceville Food World at 6:40 a.m., or at the McDonalds behind the Santa Rosa County government building on Hwy 90, Milton at 7:30 a.m. See a pitcher plant bog, and possibly summer tanagers, chats and vireos.  Call Peggy at 850-564-1482 for info.
