Panhandle Florida State Parks hit hard by Hurricane Michael

On Oct. 10, 2018 the Florida Panhandle changed dramatically, and so did many of its state parks. Category 4 Hurricane Michael moved through the Panhandle, leaving a path of destruction in its wake. “What some parks looked like before and how they look now is almost unbelievable,” Warren Poplin, bureau chief for state parks in Northwest Florida, said.
