Camellia Festival at Eden Gardens State Park Feb. 15

The Friends of Eden pay tribute to the Camellia Saturday, Feb. 15th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Eden Gardens State Park in Point Washington, North of US 98 via CR-395.

Visitors are invited to stroll through amazing Camellias, enjoy a floral demonstration using Camellias, learn air layering, (a Camellia propagating technique), and Camellia waxing for bloom preservation.  Attend demonstrations on Camellia care and other plant related topics by Marie Harrison, author of numerous gardening books.  Camellias, air layered from Eden plants, will be available from the nursery.

This community event is free with free admission to the State Park, hosted by the Friends of Eden and Florida State Park Services.

10 a.m. – Air layering demonstration
11 a.m. –  Presentation by Marie Harrison on Camellias
11:30a.m. – Camellia Waxing demonstration
12:30 p.m. – Marie Harrison presentation on Camellias
1 p.m. – Floral Arranging demonstration
2 p.m. –  Camellia Waxing demonstration
