The popular boat launch, marina and RV park Black Creek Lodge in Freeport has new owners. The 9-acre parcel is now owned by Shon and Kyra Edwards and David and Samantha Bilbrey.
Everything will remain the same with improvements on the way. The boat ramp $5.00 launch and $4.00 overnight parking fee is unchanged.
Improvements are in the works with renovations currently being done on the 4-room motel. New RV slots, along with tiny cabins for rent are in the future as well according to Kyra Edwards. There are also plans in the future to reopen the store.
