Learn about the top 20 birds of Northern Florida

Come and hear Cindy Wolf present information about different birds and their habitats and diets at the E.O. Wilson Biophilia Center on Sept. 24 at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

You never know what kind of interesting and unusual information Cindy might uncover about such a large variety of birds.

Cindy has opened a “Wild Birds Unlimited” retail store in Panama City and is excited to come to the Biophilia Center to share her knowledge on the subject of birds.

Interesting Bird facts:
-The Northern Cardinal can live up to 15 years in the wild!
-The Northern Cardinal is the “State Bird” of 7 states.
-The Eastern Bluebird weighs 1 ounce.
-The Eastern Bluebird can see their prey (insects) from 60 feet away.
– The Blue Jay can imitate the calls of several hawks.
-Blue Jays store acorns in the ground and then forget where they placed them. This aids in the spreading of forests!
